Welcome to Pallium Canada’s learning journey app—we are happy you’re here. This app supports health care providers to develop, implement, and manage a personalized learning plan to strengthen palliative care skills and knowledge. It’s easy to get started.

To get started, you can complete your Competency Assessment against the Canadian Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Competency Framework. This will help you identify areas of strength and prioritize areas for learning in palliative care as you build your learning journey.

Step 1 - Set your personalized Learning Objectives based on the insights you gained from completing the competency self-assessment and what is most important to your clinical practice.

Step 2 - Select Learning Resources from the recommend courses and other learning activities to help you meet your personalized learning objectives and add them to your Learning Journey.

Step 3 - Start learning and track your progress and completions of learning activities. You can return to reassess yourself against the competencies or update your learning objectives at any time.

The learning journey app currently includes the competencies and recommended learning resources for physicians (family physicians and physicians across multiple specialty and sub-specialty areas) and nurses who do not specialize in palliative care but care for patients with progressive life-limiting illnesses. Other professions will be added as we continue to develop the app.
